Please check that the delivery address you have given us is correct at the time of ordering. Once goods have been dispatched, any changes made will incur additional charges.
All deliveries require a signature so please choose a delivery date when someone can be there to receive the goods. We can also arrange to deliver to places of work.
For deliveries to a place of residence, goods can sometimes, with your instruction, be left with a neighbour if the recipient is not at home at the time of delivery. In our experience, this is an option worth considering as neighbours are generally very helpful in these instances. This can alleviate the possibility of the recipient having to wait until the following day for a re-delivery.
We recommend that in all circumstances where goods are being sent as a gift, the purchaser contacts and advises the recipient to expect a delivery.
Any additional information you can give us in relation to the delivery would be most helpful. This is particularly important if, for instance, a delivery address has only a house name and no number. For example, if the delivery is to the only white washed building in a long street of houses, this information can be very useful to a driver.
A contact phone number will be required in addition to the delivery address. We would like to make it clear that any recipient’s phone numbers given to us will only be used if necessary in relation to a specific delivery and for no other purpose.
We regret that we are not able to deliver to B.F.P.O or P.O. addresses.
Delivery Charges
Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £7.50 per delivery address, anywhere in the UK.

Delivery times
We are unable to take specific times for deliveries. Most deliveries will take place between 8am and 5.30pm. More specific delivery time bands are available, but are subject to additional delivery charges and availability. Please contact us if you require information regarding these time bands.
Delivery days
At most times of the year deliveries will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Bank holidays
If the week in which you require a delivery includes a Monday bank holiday, there will be no Tuesday delivery available.
Delivery Attempts
If no-one is home when the delivery is made, the courier will leave a note asking the recipient to ring to arrange a re-delivery. If no-one is home when the second delivery is made, the goods will be returned to the depot & recipient will be required to make arrangements to collect the goods.
If the goods are not collected, usually within 3 days, they will be returned to us, The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Company, and a charge will be made for the return and re-delivery of the goods to the original or alternative address. In the event of this happening, we will contact you to make alternative arrangements. The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Company will not be held responsible for the quality of any perishable goods which are returned in this situation.
Delivery Packaging
All mail order hampers are securely packed in an outer postal carton for transport purposes.
Overseas Deliveries
At present we are unable to accept orders for overseas delivery via our website. However, please contact us, preferably by email in the first instance & we can advise accordingly. Due to the nature of our products, we would recommend that they are only sent to countries where a speedy & reliable delivery service is available.
