Cheese Wedding Cake "Heart's Desire"
The ultimate romantic cheese wedding cake for cheese lovers!
Top: Coverdale - One of our most popular cheeses, similar to Wensleydale but much more creamy with a lovely flavoursome tang. Coated in ivory coloured wax.
Middle: An exceptionally creamy, vintage mature cheddar from Somerset. Finished in burgundy coloured wax.
Base: Choose two half moons from the following list. These can be placed together to form a wheel shape when the cake is assembled:
Real Yorkshire Wensleydale with Cranberries
Real Yorkshire Wensleydale with Apricot
Real Yorkshire Wensleydale with Ginger Real Yorkshire Wensleydale with Mango & Ginger
Pineapple Twist - Real Yorkshire Wensleydale with Pineapple
Hot & Spicy Cheddar - Coloured Cheddar with sweet chilli, jalapeno pepper & herbs
Abbot's Gold - Cheddar with Caramelised Onions
Abbot's Bronze - Cheddar with Balsamic Onions Mature
The two half moons of cheese will be coated in ivory coloured wax.
And not forgetting the two Godminster Vintage Mature Cheddar Hearts to add the perfect romantic twist!
The 6kg cake (shown decorated above) will serve around 60 guests.
The 10kg cake is as the 6kg version with the addition of a 4kg wheel of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese which is used for the base . This large wheel of cheese will be coated in ivory coloured wax.
All of these cheeses are made with pasteurised cow's milk and are suitable for vegetarians.
Cheeses are supplied waxed as described & weights are approximate.
Decorations of fruit, flowers and foliage are not included with this cake. However, ivy hoops & foliage corsages can be made to order. For further advice on decorations for your cheese wedding cake please contact Jane at The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Company.
The cheese board displayed with the cake is not included, but similar boards are available to order separately.
Please give us plenty of notice to create your cheese wedding cake. Although we have been know to work to (very!) tight deadlines, we recommend you let us know at least 6 weeks in advance.
